Dear students and all the stakeholders! Heartiest welcome to all of you at the Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Vinayakrao Patil Mahavidyalaya, Vaijapur, which celebrates an incredible academic tradition of 50 years and celebrated its Golden Jubilee Ceremony Academic Year: 2017-2018.
Since its inception, not only our Mandal in general but also this college in particular has been guiding the young and aspiring students of the region on an archetypal journey from darkness to light. We have been guiding our students with the motto: “Let all people proceed from darkness to light.”
The Mandal was established when the backward region of Marathwada required the doors of education to be opened to the masses, deprived of education for centuries: the seminal Chief Minister, Late Shri. Yashwantrao Chavan, the architect of modern Maharashtra, insisted that local people should come forward and take the initiative to undertake the vital task, and, in response, the Late Shri. Vinayakrao Patil and Late Shri. Dadasaheb Sawant, accompanied by their like-minded colleagues, founded Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal in 1958. Since then, it has been providing high-quality educational services to socially and economically disadvantaged communities in the Marathwada region. Since its founding, the Mandal has stood for broad access to education and high-quality standards.
In line with the evolving education landscape in India, we have prioritised channelising our resources to strengthen career-oriented, technical, and management streams to provide highly skilled human resources for the service sector and industry, and to expand self-employment opportunities. In many colleges, courses in Management Science, Biotechnology, IT, Microbiology, Electronics, Polytechnic, B.Ed., B.Voc., and Law have been established and are performing very well from the outset.
Friends, over the past 50 years, we have remained trustworthy to all stakeholders and to society at large. We assure you that we will continue to provide high-quality, beneficial educational services.

I take this opportunity to welcome you to M.S.P. Mandal’s Vinayakrao Patil Mahavidyalaya, Vaijapur. At our college, we work toward transforming society through the mantra of education for knowledge and wisdom. We uphold high academic standards and expect personal discipline and motivation from our students. We strive to develop well-rounded individuals who are grounded in faith, hope, and love. These are the keys to success in life after college. Ultimately, our mission is to make India a Superpower, the dream given to us by visionary Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. Established in June 1968 by the late Vinayakrao Patil, then the Co-Operative Minister, the College has completed 56 years of meaningful existence. The NAAC ‘A’ grade (In IV cycle with CGPA 3.25) and UGC “CPE” Status being the luminous achievements, speak volumes of our aspiration for quality sustenance and enhancement endeavours. Taking cognisance of the rapid changes since the 1990 globalised era, we have adopted an innovative approach that strikes a balance between technical and value-based inculcation. Located in the 19.36-acre eco-friendly, natural surroundings, the state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities invite young minds to fulfil their dreams.

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to M. S. P. Mandal’s Vinayakrao Patil College, affiliated to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. It is an ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organisations Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System, and a Green Audit-certified college, re-accredited with “A” Grade by NAAC & awarded “College with Potential for Excellence” by UGC.
