About Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal
Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal believes that quality education for excellence enhances students for better employment opportunities and overall personality development. Our efforts to provide such education to students from rural areas primarily align with Shri’s vision. Yashwantrao Chavan, the architect of modern Maharashtra. It is with the same intention, Shri. Vinayakrao Patil & Mr Dadasaheb Sawant, accompanied by their like-minded colleagues, founded Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal in 1959. Since its inception, it has successfully provided educational services to socially and economically disadvantaged groups.
From the outset, the Mandal, keeping track of social, political, economic, environmental, and educational changes, focused on strengthening the entire knowledge-delivery system through appropriate training and skill development. It resulted in bifocal culminations, i.e., an ever-increasing performance quality for students and teachers. The endeavour encompasses more than one lakh learners and about four thousand employees of the institution. It yielded promising results, including outstanding achievements by students and teachers in research, rankings in University Exams, sports & games, cultural activities, and consultancy and extension activities.
The Mandal expanded its network to 5 districts, with 136 branches. To deliver high-quality education, utmost care is taken to appoint highly qualified and committed faculty and to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure across all branches. The buildings and campuses of all colleges and schools bear testimony to this assertion.
With the changing scenario in different levels of education, i.e. Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary, and Higher Education, the Mandal equipped all its components to meet the demand of the time. Its colleges, along with primary schools, are ISO certified. M.S.P. Mandal’s senior colleges are consistently at the forefront in NAAC Bangalore’s quality assessments. Five of the 11 senior colleges received a grade from NAAC, Bangalore. Deogiri College, Aurangabad, received an ‘M grade with a CGPA of 3.75, and it is the highest score in Maharashtra and is among the top five in India. This is the only institute in the state with four UGC-recognised ‘Colleges with Potential for Excellence’. It is yet another testament to the highest level of performance and effort by its management in quality improvement.
Lately, our primary focus has shifted toward career-oriented courses and strengthening various activities to improve student placements on and off campus. The introduction of short-term certificate courses under the Career Development Programme is proving to be an add-on that aligns with the traditional curriculum to improve employability prospects. It is a matter of pride for us to share that, for the past 56 years, we have remained trustworthy to students, parents, and society at large. We assure you that we will continue to provide the best, convenient educational services in the future as well.
