The department of Political Science was established in 1968 with optional Subject. And M.A.Political Science Was Established in 1991.
The Political Science is one of the social sciences subject which deals with the study of the Political problems of the people as well as society, and Politics. The department of Political Science is established in June 1968, with the establishment of the institution. At present the department has a separate building in college campus. In present, computer and internet facilities are available in the department.
The prime object of department of Political Science is to provide knowledge of about political theory and concepts to the students and also trying to give the knowledge about current changes / events happening around us. The department is always being active in curricular and co-curricular activities.
Scope and importance of the subject:
The students of the Political Science get the job opportunities in the following fields.
Government Departments: Civil and State Services like a UPSC & MPSC.
Job Opportunity : Political & Research Analyst, Scope of to being Political Leader, Journalist
Teaching: one can appear for NET/SET exam to qualify for working as Assistant Professor in college / university.

HOD’s Message:
The Department of Political Science was established in 1968 with a B.A. degree. And P.G.in Political Science was started in1991.
Department – Student Activities:
The department aims in setting goals for students to lead a balanced, successful life with proper health, good relationships, and mental peace. Also, our goal is to create a better world through education, research and extension activities.
With the constant encouragement of our staff, many of our students have participated in intercollegiate competitions in academics and won various prizes. These activities have helped the students to go for higher studies.
Remedial classes are conducted successfully for the academic betterment of the students.
To create more interest in the subjects, students are motivated by giving more examples, diagrammatic representations, their applications in the real world using modern techniques and mathematical software packages.
Staff Activities:
At present, the department has 04 teaching staff.
Our Faculty Members are Participated in Various Conferences & Seminars.
