Departments: English

Since is was established in 1968, the department of English has emerged as a centre for teaching English Language and Literature. The department first initiated the study of mainly compulsory English. Today in addition, there is a special programme in English. Besides this, two UGC sponsored career oriented programmes in Spoken English and Call Center Training are also offered. Developing English communication in rural students is also major focus. There are plans to enrich the department by introducing post graduate programme in English. The department will also publish its own journal in near future which will give a platform to the students.
